Resurrection Day Meditations . . .

We naturally do what we feel like doing rather than what God tells us in His word to do.
On our own, we can never meet God's standards of perfection and holiness.

For all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:23)

Sin has consequences.
God offers mercy and pardon.

The [penalty for] sin is death,
but the free gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)

Everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. . .
[but] if the Son, [Jesus], sets you free,
you will be free indeed.
(John 8:34,36)

God, our Creator, loves us and wants us to experience
the joy of knowing Him.
He made this possible through His Son.

God loved the world so much,
that He gave His only Son,
that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16)

[Jesus Christ is] the resurrection and the life.
Whoever believes in [Him] . . . shall never die.
(John 11:25-26)

It is not enough to simply acknowledge the existence of God and Christ.
We must let go of our selfish pursuits and seek only after Him!

Christ was raised from the dead [so that] we . . .
might walk in newness of life.
(Romans 6:4)

  1. Praise the Lord for His wonderful gift of Salvation! How can anyone pass up the opportunity to spend their eternity in sheer paradise with a loving God? It is the most important decision we will ever make in our lives! It cannot be put it off!
